How it works
IRCC treats CELPIP levels 4 to 10 as the same CLB levels. Each skill earns points from the CRS table for your first official language, which depends on whether a spouse or partner comes with you. French results add second-language points and, at NCLC 7 or higher in every skill, a bonus of 25 or 50.

Is a CELPIP level the same as a CLB level?
For immigration, yes: IRCC treats CELPIP levels 4 to 10 as CLB 4 to 10. CELPIP 11 and 12 count as CLB 10+, so they earn the same CRS points as CLB 10.
Does a spouse or partner change my points?
Yes. When a spouse or common-law partner comes with you, each skill in your first official language is worth a little less: 32 points instead of 34 at CLB 10+, for example.
How do French results add points?
French counts as your second official language and adds up to 24 points (22 with a spouse or partner). With NCLC 7 or higher in all four French skills, you also get a bonus: 50 points if your English is CLB 5 or higher in every skill, or 25 otherwise.
